Auf der Webseite von Vikingfjord steht, daß der Vodka mit Aktivkohle gefiltert wird. Daher hauptsächlich die Frage danach, ob es sich dabei um Tierkohle handeln könnte.

Als Rohstoffe kommen für die Herstellung von Aktivkohle Holz, Holzkohle, Kokosnussschalen, Fruchtkerne, Torf, Sägemehl oder Kohle zum Einsatz. Es gibt in der Tat auch Aktivkohle aus Tierknochen.

Für die Aktivkohlefilter von Vikingfjord werden aber definitiv keine tierischen Substanzen verwendet - entsprechend Ihrer Vermutung.

Falls Sie aus von Arcus, dem norwegischen Brandowner der Marken Linie und Vikingfjord, noch keine detailiertere Nachricht erhalten haben, kommen Sie bitte gerne auf mich zu.

I am refering to your communaications with Mr. Kunert at Berentzen Detilleri regarding animal substances connected to the production and/or product of LINIE aquavit and Vikingfjord vodka.

Arcus is of course using a lot of barrels in the production. In order to prevent the wooden smell and taste of the barrels to the products tallow of sheep are being used. This is common practice in all cooper work when working with barrels for storing/maturing alcohole.

As a representative of Arcus - the producer - I hereby confirm that there are no other animal substances in either the the product nor the production of the products.
